About the Client:
Therapy services are provided regardless
of race, color, sex, creed or handicap. No
personal problem is too unimportant or
difficult to change with faith and hard work.
Clients are able to progress towards
healing and self-discovery in a supportive
and encouraging atmosphere where
confidentiality is strictly observed.
Clients have a responsibility to assist with
the development of a treatment plan, and
to work hard towards their personal goals.
Therapy is concluded promptly when
therapeutic goals have been met.
About the Therapy:
Services are provided in the form of individual, family and group
therapy. Workshops and classes are available for groups who want
to learn new skills essential to personal health and happiness.
The treatment methods most often utilized for therapy are based on
the principles of cognitive and behavior therapies, blended with a
combination of other generic treatment modalities. Clients are
always encouraged to ask questions and to participate in the
individualized therapeutic program that is provided to them.
Referrals are made to other mental health professionals when
appropriate.
Confidentiality is strictly adhered to at all times except for those
instances in which the law mandates otherwise.
Office Hours:
Therapy is available according to the client's needs, including evenings or Saturday when necessary. The office
phone is answered Monday through Saturday, between the hours of 9AM and 10 PM. If the therapist is with another
client, you may leave a message and your call will be returned as soon as possible.

Length of Therapy:
Some clients need only one session to receive the help they need. Others work in therapy for an extended time in
order to solve difficult and long-standing problems. The majority of clients finish their therapy in six to twelve
sessions. These sessions may be weekly or bi-weekly, depending on the needs of the clients. Most clients prefer a
reliable schedule of appointments, but some cannot do this because of work schedules. In all cases, therapy is
scheduled to meet the needs of the client(s) being served.

How can I talk with my spouse without constant arguing and bickering?
Therapist's Answer
Some people don't know how to discuss problems without throwing into the conversation "everything but the kitchen sink". They don't know how to stick to the point of the discussion long enough to come to some common ground on a possible solution. People can stop themselves indulging in this habit of "debating the enemy" by stopping long enough to find one point of agreement. That tells the other person that you are listening and trying to understand. After you have clearly stated your agreement, then you can advance further into the ways in which you disagree.
